The fifth developmental skill in the WIN-TIRI format is I – Imitate
Last week we completed the first four skills in our WIN-TIRI format. We focused on a child’s ability to WIN – Be Watchful, Intentional, and Noisy, and also to Turn Take. Always remember to continue focusing on all the skills you have learned. Help your child to be Watchful, Intentional, Noisy, and how to help him Turn Take. After reading this next blog post on Imitation, think about ways to incorporate these skills in daily activities. How can you help your child imitate during meal time, bathtime, playtime, and while reading books? What songs can you sing that will entice your child to imitate gestures, sounds, and words.
